David Ishii Owner, MPT, ATC, CSCS

Owner

David received his B.S. in Exercise Physiology & Athletic Training from Chapman University in Orange, California. He went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. He then returned to Western to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

David holds national certifications in Athletic Training (A.T.,C.) and as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.). In addition, he is certified in Speed & Agility Development (SACL1).

Since 1995, David has worked in Orange County as a clinical director, physical therapist, athletic trainer, strength & conditioning specialist, and coach. He has provided numerous clinics and services for various groups in Orange County (HBUSD, Rotary Club, OC Lawman Football, HB Marine Safety Officers to name a few). And he has been highly active with OC high school athletics, by providing clinics, physicals, game coverage, and conditioning programs (Oceanview, Huntington, Irvine, University, Woodbridge, Tustin, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Santa Margarita, El Toro, Aliso Viejo, among others).

David is married to his loving wife, Rebecca. They have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Makayla. Some of his personal interests stem from his high school and college sport of wrestling. Prior to the start of his own practice, David was still active in coaching. Now he trains in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.

Lesley Koch, MPT, ATC

Clinical Director of Physical Therapy

Lesley received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine where she also began working on her Athletic Training internship requirements. She then went to Long Beach State to finish the curriculum for Athletic Training which culminated in her national certification. Lesley continued her schooling and earned her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California.

Lesley has served Orange County for over 15 years, exclusively in private orthopedic rehabilitation. She has taken part in numerous continuing education courses such as a year long Pilates certification course which she completed in 2002. She has worked with local high schools providing on site game coverage for football and track, as well as physicals for all athletes.

Lesley and her husband, Mike, live locally with their two children, Braeden and Makenzie. In her free time, Lesley is highly involved with her children’s activities. She regularly volunteers at school as well as participating in cub scouts activities, little league baseball, and youth soccer.

Sandy Lind, MPT, CMP

Physical Therapist

Sandy received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from Colorado State University and her M.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She has provided orthopedic physical therapy services in the Orange County area since 1998. Sandy continued her education and went on to become a Certified Mulligan Practitioner and has studied/practiced the Mulligan system of manual therapy since 2003.

Sandy brings to Synergy a passion for wellness. She has been a certified yoga instructor since 2004 and owns a Juice Plus+ distributorship. She has presented to high school and college teams about the role of nutrition in performance and in the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her own athletic history includes high school cross country, tennis and swimming. She went on to earn a scholarship as a Division 1 athlete in swimming.

Sandy and her husband, Josh, live locally with their two children. Prior to motherhood, Sandy was an avid surfer and traveled the world. Now she enjoys her home break here in Huntington Beach and is eager for her children to join the family pastime. She has enjoying being involved in junior high ministry and now being involved in her children's activities.

Shelly Hope

Office Manager/Patient Care Coordinator

Shelly brings to Synergy 20 years of experience in the medical field. She has worked in all administrative capacities over the years, but has functioned as Office Manager for the past 10 years.

Shelly's kind manner, versatility, conscientiousness, strong work ethic, and experience have made her an invaluable asset to Synergy. Patients and therapist appreciate her warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.

Shelly lives locally with her husband Tom. She has three sons, Adam, Alex, and Garrett. In her free time, Shelly is involved in her church and enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
