
David Ishii Owner DPT, MPT, ATC, CSCS

David received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology & Athletic Training from Chapman University in Orange, California. He went on to earn his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona. He then returned to Western to complete his Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
David holds national certifications as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) and as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). In addition, he is certified in Speed & Agility Development (SACL1).
Since 1995, David has worked in Orange County as a clinical director, physical therapist, athletic trainer, strength & conditioning specialist, and coach. He has provided numerous clinics and services for various groups in Orange County (HBUSD, Rotary Club, OC Lawman Football, HB Marine Safety Officers, to name a few). And he has been highly active with OC high school athletics, by providing clinics, consultations, physicals, game coverage, and conditioning programs (Cavalry Chapel, Oceanview, Huntington, Irvine, University, Woodbridge, Tustin, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Santa Margarita, El Toro, Aliso Viejo, among others). David also enjoys serving as an expert source for various publications such as Oxygen magazine, Surf Life for Women, and Men's Edge magazine. He also occasionally provides service to the athletes for special events such as the NBA Allstar Weekend or commercial shoots for Nike.
David is married to his loving wife, Rebecca. They have two beautiful daughters, Madison and Makayla. Some of his personal interests stem from his high school and college sport of wrestling. Prior to the start of his own practice, David was still active in coaching. Now, he trains in the arts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai.
Alison Rae Najera, DPT
Alison attended Chapman University for her undergraduate career and received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. She continued her graduate education and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy, also from Chapman University.
From a young age of 4, she has been involved in multiple competitive sports including Taekwondo, basketball, softball, soccer, and tennis. Like many athletes, she endured numerous injuries that introduced her to the world of physical therapy and her passion for the field blossomed. Because of her personal experience, she is able to provide the best care and empathize with her patients.
She has practiced in a variety of settings including acute rehab, inpatient, and hospital based outpatient orthopedics, and outpatient orthopedics and is well versed in treating all types of patients. She is certified in IASTM or instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and continues to further her education and widen her skill set as a physical therapist. Her personal experiences/hobbies in competitive bikini bodybuilding, powerlifting, and MMA have also given her the knowledge to advise in general health and wellness, nutrition, and conditioning for the general population and gym goer.
Shelly Hope
Shelly brings to Synergy 20 years of experience in the medical field. She has worked in all administrative capacities over the years, but has functioned as Office Manager for the past 10 years.
Shelly's kind manner, versatility, conscientiousness, strong work ethic, and experience have made her an invaluable asset to Synergy. Patients and therapist appreciate her warmth, professionalism, and efficiency.
Shelly lives locally with her husband Tom. She has three sons, Adam, Alex, and Garrett. In her free time, Shelly is involved in her church and enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
